Consider this list of ideas when researching areas to assist you in paying for your graduate education:
Assistantships with tuition waivers and stipends will provide the best financing opportunity. Many programs will offer the opportunity to work as a graduate assistant either working as a teacher for undergraduate courses or as a research assistant to a faculty member. Depending on the number of hours you are able to work and the position, you may receive a tuition waiver and a stipend.
Assistantships are specific to the school and to the program to which you are applying. While you may not be able to get a commitment for an assistantship, you should be able to get information from the program coordinator as to what the chances are of your receiving an assistantship and what the assistantship requires.
Scholarships and Fellowships may be available for academic, financial, activity, performance, or group membership reasons. They may require maintaining a GPA level, providing later services to specific groups, a time commitment working for the offering organization, and/or study in a particular program.
